Date: OCT 17/2017 Hotel: SANDOS PLAYACAR BEACH RESORT Venue: GARDEN Coordinators/Decorators: MARISOL Flowers: MADE OUR OWN Time of Ceremony: 4:00pm Number of Guests: 29 Hair and Makeup: (forget the girls names)-DONE AT THE SPA Cake: CHOCOLATE Officiate: NEVER GOT HIS NAME EITHER 😂 Videographer: none Photographer: ONE FROM THE RESORT/ ROMANZA FOR TRASH THE DRESS DJ:RESORT * THE WEDDING* we originally picked the beach for our wedding, but once there we didn't like how open it was to everyone else, and there were a few weddings while we spent our week at Sandos, everytime someone got married the beach was packed with people just watching, I felt so bad! (I didn't watch any tho lol) The day before we decided to switch to the garden because it was inclosed with beautiful greenery with a long walkway to where everyone was seated! Myself an bridesmaids all got our hair and make up done at the spa, the girls there were everything above AMAZING! I showed them a couple pictures of what I wanted me hair to be like and they made it work for all of us, I had no idea about make up so the lady (I forget her name). She just went with it and after a few things we finally got it to a setting I loved!!! I don't wear a lot of make up, but I loved how she made me feel on my wedding day! Like every bride should 🙂 We used the resorts photograhper, (again, im horrible with names lol) he was the best!! He came to each of our rooms before the wedding we travelled with us everywhere, after the reception we had all our photos taken on the beach, he was so good!! We made our own bouquets, so Marisol gave us 2 more centrepiece without charge! This young girl went above and beyond for us, I was impressed on how well she treated us! She threw in a bunch of things for us (bonus). She was there every minute of the ceremony and reception if we needed anything she got it! Our ceremony was in the garden, with cocktail hour set up across the walkway while they set up for our reception! The food was great, we went with the Mexican option! We got rained out 😣 but that didn't stop us, we danced anyways, and then moved to the disco! The next day we had our trash the dress session, "Romanza" was the company and it was great! We loved this experience! *THE RESORT* Communication is horrible at the resort, we went through many arguments with supervisors at the front desk just to get a room, they upgraded us but we said no, then trying to switch rooms was a nightmare, anyways after two supervisors we finally got a room next to our guest! We didn't receive our breakfast in bed the day after the wedding, app the cooks didn't receive the note, We didn't get our romantic dinner as planned because the didn't get the note, we tried again the next night. And nope still no reservation for us, after the third time someone FINALLY got our dinner booked, note each night we had to get a babysitter for our 3 children, which was a pain!!! We got a noise complaint at 5:38 PM while we were getting ready to go out for supper, because we had our music on, but yet the music on the beach was louder. The beach is the best I've seen in Mexico, it's so long, wide and clean! The pools were great, no swim up bar, only in the adult only which was a bummer! Many rooms had a gross smell, or they were painting and the rooms had fumes in them, again took forever to get a new room for many guest. Our wedding was great and we loved every minute, the resort needs some work with its workers, some are way too rude, photographers and spa were amazing!
